| Robert and William Kennedy established Kennedy Brothers, Inc., the Company's predecessor, in Chicago in 1969. In 1978, the Company ventured to Southeast Florida, developing Boca Woods; a golf and country club community consisting of 645 homes located in Boca Raton. In 1986, the brothers divided the operation with Bob Kennedy forming The Kennedy Group Ltd. and remaining in South Florida. Bob continues to evaluate long range strategic planning as the Chairman of the Board, and is involved in the planning of the Company's geographical expansion, CEO recruitment and project acquisitions. Robert Trautman was appointed President/CEO of Homes by Kennedy in 1997 after having served as Director of Finance. Mr. Trautman has assembled a management team comprised of professionals with recognized leadership in the fields of sales, marketing, home construction, acquisition and development, purchasing and finance. Both Mr. Kennedy and Mr. Trautman have developed a set of Core Values, which are utilized to operate the business and their personal lives.
